Temp Check for Current Projects

Some new projects have popped up due to AI once again.

Discord crumbling the way it is right now wasn't on my bingo card but we knew something was coming with it going public. However learning they are sending data to Palantir and requiring users scan their face or upload a government ID to age verify is horrifying.

Projects:

• TeamSpeak - Voice chat replacement, this is the OG voice chat tool and I do have a Unraid server now hosting other containers.
• Semi-retiring Gmail for Proton - I'm still working on converting to using Proton to replace Google Suite. I'll still keep the email but won't be my primary
• File Sharing - I still need to research and test different containers. I have some friends who would do well with file sharing between devices easier. For smaller files a PairDrop container is providing that service.
• Update my Unraid server to utilize a Intel Arc GPU I bought. Previously it had a 1060 that I got yeeeeears ago back in college when I made my first gaming rig. Jellyfin is working well with it.
• Replacement for WhatsApp - Now this is one my friends and I should have already replaced but we moved from kik to WhatsApp back in high school so we've been on it for comfort. But we should be replacing it something with something less invasive

Aside from that still working on Linux Udemy class, learning Japanese with a game called Wagotabi which has made learning a bit more gamey so that helps. I do need to look into a pen pal to have more writing practice. I also started reading The Witcher series books as I continue to force myself to read more
